You know how mass production has made things accessible (which is great, truly) but also horrible for quality and certain artistry?
Nuance, please hold it.
The internet has created terms that have vastly improved life and made things more accessible - I also think it has cheapened some terminology.
Creating and burning through terms like “girls, girl.”
There’s no loyalty or craftsmanship to certain terms or phrases because the culture creating them only values consumerism and strict adherence to trends.
When your words have no actual meaning to you, it has no connection to your identity, you will poorly construct them, wear them once, and then shit on anyone who incorporates it into their “capsule wardrobe.”
If your understanding and use of “girls, girl” was “handmade” or constructed by your true, deep loyalty and support of other women - wear the term with pride.
Don’t let the people who came by it via Shein-esque language peddlers tell you it’s gone out of style.
Their words cram their closets, waiting to be dumped at a Goodwill - tags still attached.
This is my first entry here, I hope you enjoyed this. I think the term looks great on you.
Also, I love making collages, sue me! Lol
